This Automotive Assembly Supplier Case Study – is for a customer was seeking a solution to improve safety throughout their manufacturing facility by increasing awareness between forklift operators and pedestrians in shared work areas.
Solution Implemented
After evaluating the customer’s safety goals and operational environment, the recommended solution was the implementation of the iView+ A.I. Camera Pedestrian Detection System — a minimally intrusive safety solution designed to enhance operator awareness without disrupting workflow.
Compatible with any equipment make or model, the iView+ system provides forklift operators with real-time pedestrian detection within a designated safety zone surrounding the vehicle. The solution included dual cameras, an operator-facing monitor, and an integrated audible warning horn.
When a pedestrian enters the detection zone, the system immediately alerts the operator through on-screen visual notifications, highlighted pedestrian identification, and a pulsing warning indicator. An additional audible alert was also installed to warn both forklift operators and nearby pedestrians of potential interaction hazards.
By deploying the iView+ system across their forklift fleet, the customer improved operator awareness, increased accountability, and successfully supported the company’s enhanced workplace safety initiatives.
