During a site visit, the customer of a Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Facility, we identified four high-traffic areas within their manufacturing facility where forklift crossings intersected with active assembly lines, creating increased safety concerns for both operators and pedestrians.

Solution Implemented

After evaluating the facility layout and operational flow, the recommended solution was the installation of automated barrier gates to better control equipment movement around the assembly lines.

The system was designed to allow forklift traffic to cross only when the assembly line area is clear. When the assembly line is active, the barrier gates remain closed to restrict access and reduce the risk of incidents.

To further enhance safety awareness, the solution also included integrated red warning lights and audible buzzers to alert approaching traffic whenever the assembly line is in operation.
