Copilot
The Copilot Fleet Management is a device that incorporates basic functionalities which can be integrated with other technologies. COPILOT has a small touchscreen that allow equipment operators to interface with the device. The basic functionalities of Copilot are:
- ACCESS CONTROL: The device itself incorporates a badge reader that allows the equipment operator to access the equipment. Copilot can use existing customer ID badges or through key fobs that can be provided.
- PRE-SHIFT INSPECTION: The OSHA required inspection, is a customized list of questions designed to ensure safe operation of the equipment. These inspections are required at the beginning of each shift at which time, every inspection will be saved in the Copilot system. If the question is deemed critical to safe operation, Copilot can restrict access to the equipment until further action is taken.
- IMPACT DETECTION: Through the use of an accelerometer, Copilot can detect vibrations to the chassis as well as changes in equipment speed. As a result, unsafe equipment operation can be identified and reported to the appropriate personnel.
Copilot Fleet Management allows the customer to select their desired features, ensuring they only pay for what they need.
Copilot Fleet Management communicates with the cloud via Wifi or 4G cellular
- It connects to the client’s Wi-Fi network and from there it connects to the cloud (if the client allows it)
One (or more) Gateways installed at strategic points, capable of reading and sending data, to communicate with the cloud through a GSM network(4G), using a SIM card with a mobile data package, functioning independently of the customer’s network, and without any interference with it.
